Mercer Raceway Park Offers $500 Bonus for Sprint Cars

For All Star Sprint Circuit of Champions Event on May 14

Mercer, PA (May 6, 2011) – Mercer Raceway Park and Bill McCandless Ford are teaming up to offer Mercer Raceway Park regulars the chance to snag some extra prize money at the May 14 All Star Sprint Circuit of Champions event.

Bill McCandless Ford will offer the highest finishing Mercer Raceway Park regular a $500 bonus on top of the already hefty ASCOC purse. To qualify, tams must have run at least one show at Mercer Raceway Park in 2011 and at least two shows at the track in 2010 to be eligible for the prize. Tomorrow’s Saturday Night Live program on May 7 will count as a 2011 appearance.

“It’s exciting to have world-class drivers visit our track as we welcome the All Star Sprint Circuit Champions in but we want to also reward the world-class teams that support our track each and every week,” Gregg McCandless, President of Bill McCandless Ford, said. “We believe in giving back to the local community both at the dealership and at the track, and this is just another way we can support our drivers and owners.”

Mercer Raceway Park will host the All Star Sprint Circuit Champions for the first of two shows in 2011 on May 14. The All Star Sprints will be joined by the Outlaw Warrior Sprints, Stars Mod Lites and Stock Cars. Fans will enjoy the lowest ASCOC ticket prices in the region at $19 for adults, $17 for seniors, $9 for students and kids 8 and under free as always. Family passes are $38 and pit passes are $35. The second ASCOC show will be held on August 27.
