Mercer, Pa (September 26, 2012):  With the 2012 racing season now complete at Mercer Raceway Park and completing soon at other area speedways, this is the perfect time for racers to think about cleaning out their trailers and garages and getting restocked for 2013. To help in that endeavor, Mercer Raceway Park and the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour will join forces once again to present the 6th Annual High Performance Swap Meet and Racer’s Flea Market. The event will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, October 13.

Please note that the date for the event was erroneously listed on the Mercer Raceway Park website and printed schedule as Sunday, October 14. We apologize for any inconvenience in that regard.

Gates will open at 7 a.m. for vendors to enter and set up their displays. For buyers, the gates will open at 9 a.m. The Swap Meet and Flea Market is scheduled to go until 3 p.m., but you will want to get there early to get the best possible buys on the widest selection of merchandise.

New and used racing parts will be available for all types of cars and go-karts. Drag racers, motorcycle enthusiasts, hot rodders and vintage racers will even find things of interest. Trucks, trailers, campers and more will be on sale.

You might even find that new jalopy to take to the tracks in 2013!

You can also get a jump start on Christmas shopping for your friends and family, as apparel and collectibles will be on sale.

Vendor’s spots will be $20, which includes two general admission tickets. Bake sale tables are just $10, but you will need to supply your own table. General admission will be just $3.

Proceeds help to support the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour, which is a non-profit organization run by volunteers dedicated to the betterment of Big Block Modified racing in the region.
