Mercer, PA (March 7, 2015): Mercer Raceway Park is pleased to announce the sponsors for the 410 Sprint Car division in 2015, and the names will be familiar to the Western Pennsylvania motorsports community. 4 Your Car Connection and World of Wheels will present the speedway’s headline class. “We are proud to have these firms join us at Mercer Raceway Park,” said speedway owner and promoter Bill Altman. “They have been part of the racing family for a long time, and we are looking forward to having them partner with us for years to come.”
4 Your Car Connection is engaged in sales and rentals of used vehicles, and it boasts a full service center and towing operation as well. 4 Your Car Connection is located at 7082 U.S. Highway 322, in Cranberry, PA. The store is open Monday through Saturday, and evening hours are available during the week. But, if you are planning to shop on Saturday, plan to arrive early, as the store does close in the afternoon, so everybody can head to the racetrack to enjoy the fun. Check the website, www.4yourcarconnection.com for additional information.
World of Wheels sells ATVs, motorcycles, dirt bikes, cruisers, generators, and more from its shop located at 2572 State Route 257, in Seneca, PA. Like 4 Your Car Connection, World of Wheels is open every Monday through Saturday. Evening hours are available during the week, but the shop does close early on Saturdays as well. You know that owner Bob Felmlee, a former Sprint Car champion at the Park, will want to be trackside to see his charges perform!
Returning to the fold are loyal sponsors Approved Toilet Rentals with the 358 Modifieds, Bonnell’s Rod Shop with the Outlaw Sprint Warriors, Precise Racing Products with the Stock Cars, and Rock Concrete with the Modified Lites. Once again, Eperthener’s Auto Wrecking and Ray’s Racing Collectibles will proffer the popular Mini Stocks.
Mercer Raceway Park will host Tony Stewart’s All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars three times during 2015. Stewart recently purchased the historic Sprint Car Tour, and plans are being made for a blockbuster season for the touring racers. The rift with an insurgent Sprint Car sanction has been resolved, and top talents from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere will be on hand, including former champions Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer, Chad Kemanah, and Greg Wilson. Rising star, Pittsburgh’s Danny Holtgraver will be joined by other up and coming drivers like Andrew Palker, Caleb Helms, Sheldon Haudenschild, and Lee Jacobs. May 2 will mark the first appearance for the All Stars. Please note a schedule change has been made for the two-day July 4 holiday extravaganza. Racing will now be held on Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4. Please mark your racing calendars to join us at the Park to celebrate Independence Day!
Coming up on Thursday through Saturday, March 12-14, fans will get to see more than twenty race cars on display at the Shenango Valley Mall. Stop out to see the shiny new machines before they hit the track for their first action of 2015.
The very next weekend, March 21, the races will get the cars out to play. There will be an open practice session, followed by the make-up date for the Jack Frost 150.
Racing will resume on March 28 with the Annual Chiller Thriller for the ULMS Late Models, UEMS Modifieds, unsanctioned Crate Late Models, and more!
