The Annual Mercer Raceway Park Car Show at Shenango Valley Mall will be March 9 – 13.
Mercer Raceway Park will begin the 2016 racing season with the annual race car show at the Shenango Valley Mall
The show will run from Wednesday, March 9, through Sunday, March 13, with the cars going into the mall on Tuesday March 8 after store hours. Over 30 race cars will be on display, including many that fans will see in action when racing commences in the very near future. This will be an excellent time for fans to mingle, and get great photo opportunities with their favorite machines.
Soon thereafter, the racers will come out to play on the historic Mercer oval. On Saturday, March 19, the speedway will host an open practice session for all classes, followed by the annual Jack Frost 150 Enduro. Remember that entries can still be submitted for this fun-filled contest. Just call the track office at 724-662-1310 to register.
The practice session and enduro will be a sampler for the big Chiller Thriller, coming up on Saturday March 26. The powerful Big Block Modifieds of the BRP Modified Tour will again be the headline act. Joining them in wheel-to-wheel action will be the exciting 358 Modifieds presented by Approved Toilet Rentals. This sibling rivalry will be a “must see” event Also on the card will be the ULMS Modifieds, Crate Late Models and Open Stocks.
A number of other special events dot the 2016 schedule, including return engagements for the Arctic Cat All Stars Circuit of Champions, the Mo Vaughn Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (no wings), the Patriot Sprint Tour (360 Sprint Cars), the Putsy Kekich Memorial, the Auto Racers for Kids charity event, two big truck and tractor pulls, and the season-ending Little Guy Nationals.
