HOMAK PENN OHIO PRO STOCK NATIONALS POWERED BY CAN-AM FINDS JACKSON HUMANIC AND THE 10TH DIFFERENT 2019 SEASON WINNER IN VICTORY LANE AT MICHAEL’S MERCER RACEWAY’S LITTLE GUY NATIONALS!  HUNTER EXLEY AND JASON FOSNAUGHT END 2019 AS CO-CHAMPIONS IN THE POINTS BATTLE! For Immediate Release October 6, 2019 (Sandy Lake, PA) In the final event of the 2019 season for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series powered by Can-Am, 27 cars showed up at Michael’s Mercer Raceway to battle for $1,300 to-win, while the top 3 in points battled for the championship.  Finding victory lane for the first time in a Penn Ohio Series race and Little Guy Nationals event, Jackson Humanic battled Veteran drivers Alan Dellinger and Shaun Hooks and would lead the last 4 laps of the 20-lap race for the win in his SS Chassis #17.   Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock drivers kicked off the 20th Annual Little Guy Nationals event on Friday, October 4th by competing in hot lap qualifying to determine heat race starting positions.  9 drivers were split into 3 groups to make up 3 heats.  Humanic was fast qualifier in group 1 earning him the pole position in the 1st heat.  Chris Schneider substitute driver in the Tarr Motorsports owned #29 was fast qualifier in group 2 putting him in the top spot in heat 2.  The third group found Alan Dellinger driver of the Jason Longwell #7s as fast qualifier and overall fast qualifier to start on the pole in heat 3.  All 27 drivers would transfer from the heats with the top 2 drivers competing in a dash paying $100 to the winner.  Heat race winners included Tim Bish #11B, last year’s Little Guy Nationals winner; Chris Schneider, 4-time Penn Ohio Points Champion, and legend stock car driver, Alan Dellinger.  The redraw put Humanic and Tim Bish on the front row of the dash, Dellinger and Tim Deutsch #20 in the second row, and Shaun Hooks #65 and Schneider #29 in the third row.  At the completion of 6 laps, Humanic edged Dellinger, with Deutsch over Hooks, and Schneider in fifth followed by Bish. Humanic would lead the 27 car field to the green in the 20-lap event with Dellinger to his outside.  Point contenders Exley, Fosnaught and McGuire would start the race in 16th, 15th, and 13th respectively with just five points separating the top 3.  Dellinger would edge Humanic for the lead on the first circuit despite losing his hood on the start, which brought out the first caution of the caution-plagued event.   Dellinger would chose the inside lane on the restart putting Humanic on the outside.  Continuing to lead the way, Dellinger kept Humanic at bay while Deutsch, Hooks and Schneider battled for the 3rd through 5th positions until the 2nd caution of the event flew on lap 4.  Deutsch used the restart to his advantage taking over the runner up spot from Humanic while Dellinger maintained the lead.  On lap 8, Humanic regained 2nd leaving Deutsch and Hooks to race for 3rd The third caution flag waved on lap 10 for multiple cars spinning in turn 2.  No laps would be completed before a red would halt racing action for a hard collision on the front stretch involving Curt Bish #00, Tyler Wyant #24, and Rod Laskey #1R.  Wyant and Bish would exit the race track on tow trucks while Laskey was able to restart at the tail of the field.  Point leader Exley sustained front end damage in the incident but was able to continue racing.  The restart would find Dellinger choosing the inside line with Humanic on the outside followed by Deutsch, Hooks, Schneider and Tim Bish.  At the completion of lap 11, Schneider passed Hooks for the 4th position and another caution flag would fly for a multi-car collision in turn 2 involving Jim Fosnaught #20J, Mike Van Zandt #19c, Leigh Wheeler #717, and Jeremy Perry #15x.  Exley exited to the pits under the caution to remove the damage to his front end and returned before racing resumed, restarting in 20th.  Fosnaught would restart in 11th and McGuire in 12th With 11 laps in, Dellinger led the way yet again with Humanic in tow followed by Deutsch and Schneider.  Schneider would take over 3rd from Deutsch on lap 12, with Deutsch slipping back to 5th one lap later advancing Hooks to 4th.  Jim Fosnaught’s spin on lap 14 would bring out another yellow.  The restart found Humanic in a battle with Hooks for the runner up spot with Hooks taking over the position on lap 16.  The final caution would be a red flag for a collision in turn 2 involving Jamie Barber #1B, Laskey and Van Zandt resulting in Barber rolling over.  Under red, leader Alan Dellinger signaled for a tow truck as he experienced issues with his drive train enabling him to continue.  Hooks inherited the lead with 4 laps remaining and chose the inside lane leaving Humanic on the outside yet again.  Humanic powered through turn 1 and 2 to command the lead over Hooks and didn’t look back as he picked up his first Little Guy Nationals win at Michael’s Mercer Raceway 1.371 seconds over Hooks.  Schneider finished the race in 3rd, however failed to report to tech after the race resulting in a disqualification advancing Deutsch to a 3rd place finish; Bobby Whitling #7W in 4th over Tim Bish, Jeff Broniszewski #08 in 6th, Rusty Moore #17M in 7th, Jason Fosnaught in 8th, McGuire in 9th, Chris Withers #21W rounded out the top 10.  Exley battled his way back to finish 11th ending the 2019 in a tie for points with Fosnaught.  Both drivers will be 2019 Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series powered by Can-Am Point Co-Champions with 965 points.  McGuire is awarded 3rd with 962 points, Humanic in 4th with 957, and Hooks in 5th with 944 points.  Broniszewski and Tim Bish tied for 6th with 924 points.  Rusty Moore finished in 8th with 915 points, Curt Bish #29 in 9th with 910 points, and Chris Withers in 10th with 874 points.
